An Opportunity for the West Midlands Voluntary and Community Housing Sector to discuss the housing crisis and future policy measures with

Jack Dromey MP, Shadow Housing Minister

This first West Midlands Voluntary and Community Housing Sector Network meeting of 2012 will provide a very timely opportunity to seriously engage in a sharing of current voluntary housing experience with the Shadow Housing Minister. We will be able to hear Jack Dromey’s views on the Coalition Housing Strategy and the impact the rest of the Government’s programme of public expenditure cuts, public sector reform and welfare benefit changes are impacting on the housing related needs of the most vulnerable and least well off. How can we use the new Localism Act’s empowerment of local communities legislation to give voice to the vulnerable and ensure their needs are not ignored or worse?
